Heald Stream Dam-Side View

Heald Stream Dam-Side View

This image features the remnants of Heald Stream Dam, which is a short drive outside of Jackman, Maine. Like many small dams in northern Maine, Heald Stream dam was used to hold water to run logs to mills down stream. Logs that were run down Heald Stream, would eventually make their way to the Kennebec River.
