This photo was taken during the last weekend of October on a day that was taking forever to clear up. The forecast was for early clearing, but that didn't happen. Lucky for me! The sky was breathtaking as the sun tried to poke out of the clouds, and the the colors just seemed to pop! This shot was taken from the edge of the Cribstone Bridge which separates Orr's Island from Bailey Island, in Harpswell, Maine, looking out onto Garrison Cove.
